Running the Amsterdam Light Festival

It has become a yearly tradition in Amsterdam, the light festival. What better way to visit the art works then running.
We ran the water colors route.
For a large part you are running along the Herengracht. You can start the run at Amsterdam Central Station. Take a left in the direction of the floating Chinese restaurant. Next to the restaurant is the first art work. A fountain with light projections. Continue in the direction of Nemo. Cut across in front of the Nemo entrance until you are facing the Shipping Museum (2nd art work), turn right. No basically you run straight ahead until you reach the Amstel river. Turn left and run over the skinny bridge, turn right to join the Herengracht. Follow the Herengracht until the Brouwersgracht. Turn right and left and you will see Central Station again. Along the way you will see all the light art. You cannot mis them. Run the evening when its dark. Funny enough the art is switched of when you do an early morning run.

The light festival runs 🙂 until the 22nd of january 2017.
